Welcome to "A Fleeting Thought" where I post relatively short and to the point book reviews.

4/5 stars

John Marrs is such a petty bitch and I love it.

These characters are such a dumpster fire. This is the “Desperate Housewives” cast and their delusion taken to the next level. Pettiness, rage, and back stabbing through and through.

I flew through this book. I had no idea where anything was going through the entirety of the book. Every time I had one part figured out, something else was thrown in the mix.

Margot was the most self serving and deranged of them all. Her bitchiness and attitude were the most fun to track and I think her backstory was the most interesting and compelling out of the three women. If John Marrs has a favorite, I would bet it's Margot.

Anna's story felt the least probable for me. So, if you can suspend belief with her line of the story, especially toward the later half of the book, I think it makes it more enjoyable.

Liv's story felt the least compelling to me. I didn't really have an emotional connection or attachment to her either way. Her story felt a bit more like filler and less sinister than the other two ladies.

Why didn’t it get five stars?:

I don't know how I feel about the ending! I was a bit bummed about it. It felt rushed and slightly less believable. For all the craziness that happened, I feel it fell flat for me.

Another thing I dislike in books is when social media or current slang/trends are mentioned, so that knocked off a bit for me.
