A review of Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney

Welcome to "A Fleeting Thought" where I post relatively short and to the point book reviews.

I picked this book up with little to no expectations and it was such a pleasant surprise! With 3.6 stars on Goodreads, I was a bit worried, but I loved this. If you're looking for a thriller that isn't based in murder/descriptive gruesome scenes, this one is a great pick. It's also great if you've got some mommy issues. 😂

It was twisty and I honestly didn't pick up on the twists until they were right in my face! It also had one of my favorite things-- multi POV. I loved how short the chapters are and how fast paced the book felt because of that. I felt the story was quite clever, especially as missing persons stories go.

The author inserted some nuggets of wisdom that I really resonated with. That made me feel like she inserted a bit of herself into this book and really had something to say, and I enjoyed that.

Why didn't I give it five stars?

I had a hard time connecting to and caring about the characters. I don't think there was really one character I would have been sad about if they got killed off. Is that terrible? That's terrible. Welp.

All in all it was good, the story was compelling and I was desperate to know how it shook out!
